Teaching Staff Assessment Rating
Adjunct lecturers, assistant professors and associate professors of the University of Akureyri should submit applications for assessment ratings before 1 March annually. Signed paper copies
of applications should be sent to the Research Administration in the Research Institute Building of the University of Akureyri and also in computerised form to; rannsoknir@unak.is. Details should be provided of all writings and intellectual creations that are to be assessed for academic ratings. Those adjunct lecturers,
assistant professors and associate professors, who have not previously participated in assessments for academic ratings should submit information for their entire academic career, while those who
have previously been assessed should only submit material covering the previous year.
Professors should submit their applications to the research administration who will then forward the data to the Committee on Salaries and Work Conditions in accordance with an agreement made with the Committee on Salaries and Working Conditions in January of 2002.
Please note that the conclusions of the academic assessment ratings can influence an individual's rating on the salary scale and the research supplement. Applications for academic assessment ratings also constitute applications to the Work Assessment Fund . It is extremely important to submit information at the correct time. Resulting salary changes become effective as of 1 September annually.
Applications received late will not be accepted for processing. Exemptions are made in cases of illness.Please study carefully the instructions on filling out the forms and upon the work rules of the assessment groups given below. Further information and help in filling out the forms are available
