Climate Change in Northern Territories
The 22nd and 23rd of August the conference Climate Change in Northern Territories. Sharing Experiences, Exploring New Methods and Assessing Socio-Economic Impacts was held at the University of Akureyri. The conference was held in cooperation between the ESPON project ENECON and The Northern Research Forum (NRF). A total of 48 presentations were given at the conference plus the opening speech of the President of Iceland, Mr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson. A total of 110 people from 14 nations participated, where half of them were Icelanders. Out of the 48 contributions at the conference, 14 were from scientists at the University of Akureyri. The conference was a success and was an important contribution to dialogs about Climate change in northern territories. The presentations were recorded and will be soon be accessable. A report from the conference will be published on the web site later.
