RHA retreats from a climate project

RHA has decided to retreat from a preparatory project on climate change in the Northern Periphery Programme (NPP) due to lack of interest among municipalities and institutions.
The project is called CLIM-ATIC, Climate Change - Adapting to the Impacts on Communities in Northern Peripheral Regions. It focuses on how communities in northern regions can adapt to the climate changes taking place. Participants are from Scotland (lead partner University of the Highlands and Islands), Finland, Sweden and Norway. A prerequisite was that we could find participants within the country to take an active role in the project both financially and professionally. RHA had made considerable efforts to build such a network around the project within the country with limited success.
