Wholesomeness of seafood

Guðrún Rósa Þórsteinsdóttir, director of RHA and Helgi Laxdal, chairman of the board of Iceland‘s Fisheries Association signed on the 28th of August a contract for a project that is intended to disseminate information about the wholesomeness of seafood. The objective of the project is also to bring attention to the fishing industry, a very important industry to us Icelanders.

 

Guðrún Rósa Þórsteinsdóttir, director of RHA and Helgi Laxdal, chairman of the board of Iceland‘s Fisheries Association signed on the 28th of August a contract for a project that is intended to disseminate information about the wholesomeness of seafood. The objective of the project is also to bring attention to the fishing industry, a very important industry to us Icelanders. Included in the agreement is, among other things, the publication of educational material for teachers and students in the sixth grade in the elementary schools in Eyjafjördur. The material will be delivered to the students in connection with field trips on sea which the association of supporters of the boat Húni II organize in collaboration with the University of Akureyri, the school division of the town of Akureyri with a financial support from Saga Capital investment bank.
